Indian Hurry Curry Menu

This place was way too expensive for Klamath Falls. The food was bland and I thought there were some deceptive practices here: 1)The price of the combo meal was never shown on the menu on the wall. Price came up to $12.95, higher than ordering a single dish meal. I thought it would cost the highest value single dish item, not more. 2)Price of mango lassi was put in very small print. Came up to $4.95 each. Really? I've been to top-notch Indian restaurants in the country and never had to pay that much. It was clear that the lassi was a huge profit margin and one that the owner upsold strongly. 3)There was constant upselling done in a very pleasant way. Don't be deceived. I think I overpaid as much as $15 here for the food, which came in very small portions. Across the street, there's a beautiful bakery with extremely inexpensive calzones and breads. If you have a tight budget and are passing through town, just grab the super-tasty $4 calzone. You'll be fuller in the tummy and lighter on your wallets.

Heard plenty of good things about this place, so I went with a friend today. The owner Rachel has an infectious enthusiasm for her menu. Since we were new here, she gave us the rundown on her place. No set menu, the offerings change daily with a two vegetarian options and a meat offering. She gave us a small sample of the three dishes, and we chose the meat dish of the day. The lunch was served on a metal cafeteria style compartment tray. There was the entree we chose, a cup of white rice, two pieces of "bread" that were very similar to tortillas, a spicy tomato based relish and a cool bland yogurt sauce. Rachel gave us the basics on how to eat this, to use the bread as an edible spoon and we immediately dismissed all of her advice. We probably should not have, but trying to scoop with the bread into everything was frustrating. The flavors were ok, but left me feeling unsatisfied. I have had Indian food, and perhaps this is similar to other styles where there are regional differences. But I just did not have the magic in my mouth thing that Indian food typically brings. And at $10.95 for lunch, I can understand why it was not busy. And the Indian TV/soap opera thing that was on was just weird. I can understand there being a market for this type of restaurant and with the love Rachel puts in her food, it should do fine. But, I would not make it a point to go back.

Slowest service ever!! Waiting for more than half n hr.. With no warnings ahead.. With only 2 dishes available at 9:30! Listening to some of the worst songs ever on TV!!! Still no food!!!!!!!!!!!

Small restaurant with few tables. It is family run and they only cook 3 dishes every night and that's all you can choose from. Food is OK...nothing to write home about. If you are a vegetarian and find yourself hungry after 8 PM in Klamath Falls then I guess this place is Ok. Prices are about $10 for a main dish with rice and bread.

We stopped in on a road trip to LA. This place was so great, cheap Indian food that's authentic and delicious! The bathroom is nice and clean and the perfect stop for our vegetarian family. The kids ate so much food, it's great for the whole family. It's a quiet, unassuming restaurant that we really enjoyed. If you like Indian food, then you'll love this place.

This is a lovely place for an Indian meal. It is not the standard, typical Indian restaurant fare with a multi course lunch buffet but more of a small, healthy yet tasty meal option place. They had three options available and we loved the fact that one of those was vegan which helped one of our family members who has food allergies. Hot, tasty food and really excellent service. The people went the extra mile to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. The masala fries was lovely. The only reason for 4 stars for this review is I felt the ambience could have been better. The restaurant is a touch small but even with this size if the decor could be improved a bit it will please customers more :-)

Okay, so this is an outstanding restaurant. Not perfect, but stilll - one of those whose sins, if any, can be forgiven. And beyond that, YES! I don't live in Klamath Falls, but I hope to return to Hurry Curry again.

Outstanding. The owner, Rachel, cares deeply about what she makes each day, cooking with soul, and has fabulous customer service. We have eaten here so many times that I have lost count now, and I have never been disappointed. Plates and takeout containers are now compostable. Rachel listens to her clients' suggestions and takes them to heart! Smart. Daily creations are made from scratch using high quality ingredients. Spices are organic, roasted whole and ground on site. I don't have a favorite dish, i love that choices change daily and I can try so many different things. My husband thinks the lamb madras he had tonight is his fave. I can never resist the mango lassis. Free wifi. Free delivery. Menu is posted daily on facebook. What are you waiting for? Go. Now! Support local. :)

Excellent customer service, and delicious food. Few choices--just daily specials, but was promised a stable menu in the future. I'm really hoping for vindaloo to be a regular dish. The staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was comfortable. Parking on the street could be problematic at busier times, but at noon on a weekday there wasn't a problem. Indian Hurry Curry is an much needed addition to Klamath Falls!

We tried for the first time! I'm not very easy to get to try new restaurants especially with exotic thrown in but My taste buds were difinitely seduced!!! The owner was very helpful and efficient. The rice was heavenly.......can't remember what the dishes we tried were called.....but many delicious flavors. Not really that thrilled about the metal trays. But We will be anxious to try again another day soon!

I have only eaten here once, but I really enjoyed it. Unique food for KFalls. I intent to eat here again, and will amend my review as needed.

Give this place a try! The owner is caring, hard-working and generous. It's a unique place for it's location. I walked in with a twisted ankle (and unfortunately, a belly full of pastry from the bakery across the street). Rachel prepared an ice bag for me and invited me to sit down to ice my ankle. I figured I'd have a chai tea while waiting and got to choose from four different flavors (ginger, masala and two others). Cool! Running an Indian restaurant in a very small town can't be easy. Nice that there are descriptions on the wall for Indian food newbies. The Bollywood movies on the tv add a culturally appropriate touch (in spite of another reviewers negative marks for same Indian culture quirk). I wish I'd had room to sample the curry. Perhaps on my way back through town...

Hallelujah and praise all that is tasty, because in a town where all things cultural come to die, we have this shining beacon of light on the corner of Esplanade and Wall! I absolutely love Indian food, and for the last three years I've been hoping and praying that one would come to Klamath, and here it is at last. For the moment they are only doing daily specials, consisting of three dishes, usually one vegetarian, one vegan, and one for the meat lover in the rest of us. The plan is to collect data over time and compile a regular menu from what the best sellers are, and then offer genuine specials from there. The food, ambiance, and the staff are all excellent, though the parking situation is not the greatest. But hey, I'd walk 6 blocks to have their food! Let's help keep this place going!

At last, Indian food in Kfalls! And good, Indian food. Hurrah! I too am looking forward to their expanded menu, and hope they don't take too long to make it happen. We've been in twice, on day 2, and then once for takeout. Great service, the atmosphere is welcoming and the locale and space are perfect. It's clean and bright, but most important the food is wonderful, and the owners and staff are friendly and helpful. Don't be shy, go get your curry on!

Amazing Indian Food! Went to Klamath for a weekend and literally felt like I was at home. Choice of 3 dishes a day, and they're great. The menu is posted on facebook everyday, and I swear all the way from LA, my mouth waters! =P Masala fries are the best. Very friendly service and quick too. Food is fresh made and definitely satisfying to the stomach. Can't wait to make another trip back and try more dishes.

Delicious fresh food and sweet friendly owner. Offers 3 entrees daily; veggie, bean/lentil & meat.

If you are passing thru(and who isn't?) Klamath Falls, this the place for some of the best food in "K-Town" as some call it. Usually three entrees,Rachael, the owner, stays open until she sells them out. In a town with mexican food and bad burgers, this is an island of culinary delight. Reminded me of eating in a dorm or army mess-hall, food served in tray with discreet slots for each portion. If you have questions, you get a free taste. Across the street is one of the best bakeries in the area"Green Blade" . Get there early for breakfast goodies, but have very good breads.

I think this is the only Indian place around here. We went late at a weekend night, the place was empty but got full by the time we left. I guess everybody reads Yelp and visits. They had ONLY 3 dishes on offer, we ordered a combo covering all three. Rajma was ok, Chicken was ok and baingan was above average. They serve in Styrofoam containers even for dine-in which I did not like. Also service (two young boys in the family) was practically non-existent. But I liked their rotis, rarely any Indian place has rotis. They were of flour though, not whole wheat. Overall, an Ok to good eating place in a town where good restaurants are anyway rare.

This small place has delicious food and a very friendly atmosphere. Rachel makes three homemade dishes every day and serves them all in a wrap, over rice, or as a dinner. Some people feel that the dinners are expensive, but the wraps or the wrap-bowl options are very reasonable and a lot of GOOD food for the money. There is always at least one vegetarian option, and usually a vegan option as well.

The best place to eat. Amazing service, ambience and food! It's like a small secret of surprises in the middle of Klamath falls!

Read the good reviews, but went there tonight and it is closed indefinitely :-( The note says that the owner had an accident and needs time to recover. Will try next time.

This is a great little gem. If you have a taste for something ethnic, this is the spot for you. Every day they make 3 entrees. A vegetarian, a beans/ lentils, and a meat. This way you know all the ingredients are fresh. The indian curry flavors range from mild to spicy. Theres a spicy onion salsa that is absolutely delicious. It does have a kick so beware of the onion salsa if you cant handle it spicy!! The combination dishes come with rice or roti ( flat bread). The roti comes in a gluten free option as well. They also have a specacular line of fries. Theres the sexy fries, naughty fries and the masala fries ( masala is spicy). You can choose to add cheese or no cheese on top of these fries. They come out in a brimming full basket of hot, flavorful yumminess. If you plan on getting there around lunch time, know that there is a high school half a block away- and you want to get there before or after their lunch rush because the place is packed with high schoolers ordering fries. Im sure those fries alone pays the rent for the place!! Rachel, originally from New Zealand is also the most friendly, charming, generous soul. She cooks with her heart and the food is absolutely filled with love. 5 minutes in her presence and you will feel rejuvenated. After eating her food, you will be satisfied. If you have dairy or gluten restrictions be sure to let Rachel know. She is an expert at making sure your dish is gluten free and or dairy free. The environment is super cozy and cute. In the back of the dining area is a tv playing bollywood shows. Just a hint of the indian culture permeating through the space. If you are up for something different, and want to eat local, highly recommend this place. Run, dont walk. The food sells oit daily!!

Three kinds of fresh, homemade chai: ginger, masala and cardamom. Served unsweetened, which is nice. A bit tepid, and no free refills, but quite flavorful. This is a one woman, home-cookin' scene, and I appreciate the personal touch throughout the whole experience. Three daily specials: vegetarian, vegan and meat. Mix and match as you please. I tried all three of the day and the vegan baby lima bean curry won for best flavor. Ground turkey was pretty good and the veg korma was a bit bland for my taste, but the onion chutney spiced it up. My sweetie had his meal with the ***SPICY LASSI***. I have never seen this anywhere else and it is delicious. It has a kick. (And I bet she'd make it kick harder if you asked real nice) Everything seemed made from scratch, but I didn't ask if she made her own yogurt. I wouldn't be surprised if she did. One note: there is a TV and it is on. I usually frown upon this practice, however Indian restaurants that play Bollywood dance numbers is my only excepetion.

We were on our way to a football game at KU and saw Hurry Curry. We've never noticed this place before so decided to test it out. This is some of the tastiest food in Klamath. A nice departure from our Mexican food routine. We ordered the trifecta of curry...vegetarian potato, vegan lentil, and heavenly chicken. The dish also came with rice, bread (homemade tortilla), spicy onions and a white sauce...all were absolutely divine. I almost gave this place 4 stars for simply for portion size, but the gracious hostess hooked me up with extra lunch leftovers for tomorrow. I need to add that the place is clean, including the restrooms. You can always judge the cleanliness of a restaurant by their bathrooms. We will be back for sure.

If you've not been to Hurry Curry yet, then you need to give it a try. At least stop by to get a cup of tea in the morning before you wander around downtown Klamath Falls. Props to the owner for getting it up and running, fairly busy, and very active on Facebook and Yelp in such a...Hurry. On my first visit, they were scoping out the locals' tastes by offering a few choices on a white board which the rotate each day. I think they are still doing this way and you can usually find at least one vegan or vegetarian dish. My lamb curry was extraordinary and I loved all the little dips/sides with the meal. My wife and I get a kick out of the Indian music videos playing on the TV in the back of the restaurant and we LOVE the hot teas with milk, tasty flavors, and mild sweetening. The stainless steel trays are cool, sustainable, and logical, in my opinion. Cool side-note: If you're downtown and feel like a cup of tasty tea in the morning before Hurry Curry is officially open, then Rachel generally welcomes you in to purchase a cup of tea. Small businesses with friendly staff like those at Hurry Curry are part of what makes me love the Klamath Basin. I gave Hurry Curry 4 stars because I love it, but I'm cheap. Sometimes I feel it's a little expensive. I still eat there regularly, and I've found if you "like" them on Facebook, then you'll hear about little discount deals every couple o' days.

I love Indian food so much that I make it myself at home - naan, palak paneer, buttered chicken, masala dosa, korma, etc., so I was very excited when this place opened. That being said, this joint falls short. I've been several times. The naan isn't authentic. The portions are tiny. They usually only have a couple of items on the menu which changes every day and the food is nothing spectacular. I have been to a number of Indian restaurants here in the states, I've even been to India, and this place simply leaves a little to be desired. However, the service is quick, the staff is kind, they always have a vegetarian selection and the location is good. Their best asset - they are the only Indian restaurant in town.

One of K Falls best restaurants. Not much choice, only 3 to 5 dish choices. But go by tomorrow and they will have a brand new menu, so I could go all week and never eat the same meal twice and very meal would be worth writing about

Too expensive given how tiny the portions were. There were only 2 options for vegitable.

  • Sean D.

A little different than the typical Indian Restaurant. They don't have a full menu, instead they give you a choice of 3 plates, 2 vegetarian and 1 meat. Probably from being in such a small town, it would cost too much to keep a full menu of fresh ingredients. The food itself was tasty and cheap, just not what I normally would order. I will try again when I return to K Falls.

This place is AWESOME! I love their food, their style, their prices - just all great! The people are super friendly - if you're not an Indian food expert - they'll help you figure out what you want. They have 3 things on the menu each day and they post their menu on facebook ahead of time. The food is so flavorful and perfectly cooked! The service is great, although it is a little slower to get your food than you'd think...but I think it's because they're making lots of things fresh. My only complaint about this place is they're un-green-ness - they use styrofoam cups, plasticware, etc. I'd pay an extra $1 a plate if I could use the corn-based plastic products that I know break down quickly. Oh - also - they have a room in the back with room for 15-20 people, so this would be a great place for a meeting/lunch group.

The food was great and the owner was very explanatory and welcomed the feedback that was given. The atmosphere is very bright and upbeat. She said that a regular menu should be coming around in a few weeks but for now there are 3 daily specials (1 meat, 1 vegetarian, 1 vegan). We had the vegetable korma (DELICIOUS) and chicken madras (equally delicious!). One thing that was hit on, which me and my guest fully agree with, is they need to figure out a more sustainable situation for their dishes, etc. I don't like styrofoam/plastic/paper, and perhaps they aren't setup for it yet, but they should definitely eliminate the feeling of "temporary" by figuring out how to maintain a decent quantity of silverware, cups and plates. My guest felt as though maybe the prices were a bit high for the portions ($8-$10 per plate) but that could be because they are just newly opened and hopefully once they have a decent stream of customers they can either increase the portion size or decrease the cost.

We went to Klamath for a long weekend and this Indian restaurant is so clean with pleasing ambience. The veggie combo with roti was the best choice of our two consecutive visits. salt lassi is so yummy...the masala chai (Indian tea) is an authentic stuff... Not a bad place to hangout.
